Hi Everybody!
Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the cooler weather, the changing leaves... and I have admit: I love candy pumpkins! I wanted to share with you a few quick and easy ways to make candy holders that make perfect little gifts or party favors. I found these ideas in Martha Stewart's Halloween Handbook.
First up is the Crepe Paper Pumpkin.
Step 1: Gather supplies. All you need is raffia, masking tape, and sheets of crepe paper. I used candy pumpkins, because they are my favorite, but you can use whatever you'd like.
Step 2: Cut the crepe paper into 7 inch squares.
Take two squares and place candy in the center.
Step 3: Wrap the crepe paper around the candy bringing the edges of the paper to the top.
Step 4: Using a small piece of masking tape, tape the edges
of the paper together to create the stem.
Step 6: Tie some raffia around the stem.
The next treat holder is Halloween Cracker!
Step 1: Gather supplies. You'll need toilet paper tubes, crepe paper, decorative paper, string or ribbon, double sided tape and candy.
Step 2: Place candy into toilet paper tube,
wrap a 6x12 inch piece of crepe paper
around tube and tie ends with string or ribbon.
Step 3: Decorate with patterned paper.
These projects are really easy and inexpensive! I would love to see other ways to use paper to make treat bags, please share other ideas or photos you have!
Happy Fall,
Christina
